THE BRIEF. Twice a year at Open Studios, visitors can have a look inside the working studios, meet the artists and buy or commission work such as jewellery, furniture, fashion, ceramics, paintings, prints and sculpture. The organising committee asked Magnetic Ideas to help, so we’ve worked on PR, publicity and marketing of this creative event from 2010-2014.
PR. We have worked on PR and publicity for the Open Studios events since 2010, liaising with other members of the creative community. We’ve had coverage in Time Out, Evening Standard, influential art blogs and numerous specialist publications in the interiors, arts and crafts sectors. We’ve also helped publicise Open Studio’s family workshops on channels such as Mumsnet.
SOCIAL MEDIA MARKETING. We set up and have managed the Twitter and Instagram accounts, which have helped build positive relationships, particularly with artists in London and beyond, as well as community organisations in Southwark and Lambeth.
