Restaurant branding: El Vergel

Most mornings when walking or cycling to work, I pass the lovely El Vergel. I absolutely love this Latin American restaurant, partly for its delicious churrasco palta (steak, avocado and tomato sandwich), but also for the delightful interior design branding. I love how the vibrant colours, window stickers, cushions and graffiti add character and reflect the delightful personalities of the team there. See this ‘hidden gem’ for yourself at 132 Webber Street, SE1 (preferably at breakfast, lunchtime or weekend brunch).

Top tip: it’s pronounced el ver-HEL’ and means ‘The Orchard’ my friend Débora informs me. So sorry for pronouncing it incorrectly for several (gulp) years!
